The Role
You will be implementing and contributing to data analytics strategies, with ownership of specific projects and products. Your role involves delivering solutions and providing technical expertise to drive initiatives. You will be responsible for tackling complex technical problems and identifying solutions. Working closely with senior engineers and team leads, you'll develop and enhance data products while ensuring adherence to and improvement of technical practices.
What you need for this role
- 5+ years experience of designing, implementing and optimising complex analytical datasets and data models
- Experience using PowerBi to turn data into powerful visual aids and dashboards.
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft BI stack, DAX, MDX, T-SQL, Python
- Solid experience of using Git, Gitlab or Azure DevOps
What you will be doing
- Work with data team to design and build high value analytic datasets that can be used by a broad range of business stakeholders via a variety of tools to drive business decision-making
- Partnering with business stakeholders to identify and implement effective KPIs, measures and dimensions to understand business performance
- Understand the insights that business stakeholders seek to find using data and lead end-to-end the analyses process and tooling required to obtain the insight
- Driving creation of the final innovative and creative data visualisations and products for business users
- Engaging with internal stakeholders to understand their business requirements and translating these effectively into data and metrics requirements that can be used to build analytic data models
- Working with the data teams to develop rich data to feed the analysis models and make sure that all business requirements are met
- Creating effective documentation of data models for use by development teams and internal (non-technical) stakeholders
- Partnering with tech/product teams to deliver personalisation use cases against the Single View of Customer data model
- Defining and govern data modelling and design and naming standards, tools, best practices, related development methodologies and QA data requirements for the organization
