TheVentureCity is a venture capital fund and tech ecosystem accelerator based in Miami and Madrid with remote teams in San Francisco and Sao Paulo. Our mission is to help early stage tech startups who are ready to expand internationally with growth capital and hands-on operational guidance.

The TheVentureCity team includes alumni from Facebook, Google, Microsoft and Pinterest, we have accelerated and invested in over 40 companies in Europe, US and Latin America including such companies as Cabify and Spotahome in Spain, Return.ly in the US and RecargaPay in Brazil and built partnerships with Google and World Bank that aim to develop new entrepreneurial ecosystems. We pride ourselves on bringing operational excellence from best global tech companies to the emerging tech hubs and help talented founders acquire skills that enable them to realize their vision.

TheVentureCity’s Lab Team advises our portfolio and accelerator companies on product strategy and guides them on execution by providing actionable advice on their product roadmap and priorities and product UI/UX that is grounded in user insight and available product data. We have built an intensive five-month program for earlystage companies that are seeking expert advice in how to build and experiment to get to the next stage of their growth. This program includes both extensive syllabus as well as hands on support to the teams that we accelerate in product analytics, design, engineering, and growth marketing.

We are looking for an empathetic product leader to join the team in EMEA with a successful track record of building products from scratch and scaling the product team. The role will serve as a champion for product inside TheVentureCity in Europe and will help the teams we work with have a headstart in terms of product vision and execution. He/she will bring a passion for startups and a willingness to work with the entrepreneurs in our program.

We are open to remote candidates but with a long-term plan to be in-office in Madrid when the world allows.

Responsibilities are focused on supporting the companies inside TheVentureCity in the following areas:

• Setting a compelling long-term product vision
• Understanding user needs and defining product requirements
• Defining product strategy and creating goals to realize the team’s vision
• Figuring out prioritization and creating product roadmap
• Scaling product, design and engineering teams

We’re looking for someone whose background looks like the following:

• 7+ years of product management experience
• Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative data for product decision making
• Track record of product leadership and cross functional collaboration
• Worked at a startup (or created one) and can think like (or have been) a startup founder
• Engineering background is a plus
• Fluent English
