The Centre of Excellence (CoE) supports globally the Ferrovial Business Units in the field of whole life (Design, Build, Operate and Maintain) Infrastructure Asset Management (i.e. Digital twins, process digitalization, simulation, platforms, data frameworks (IFC, Uniclass, Omniclass) and standards (ISO 55001, 19650 etc), Reporting directly to the Head of Centre of Excellence, this position will play a key role in developing and delivering Digital collaboration activities with a core focus on lifecycle process and information flow and methodologies within the existing Ferrovial asset portfolio. The role will be full lifecycle activities from supporting any new bids related to asset management through experiments and POC with new platforms and methodologies and helping the business units with the adoption of best practice and solutions. As part of a dynamic innovation team driving business value for Ferrovial in collaboration with the wider Innovation team, other corporate departments, and Ferrovial Business Units.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • With an innovative, solution focused mindset and deep technical knowledge; develop, program manage and deliver lifecycle data focused projects with a focus on process and information standards and methodologies, BIM, O&M & digital twin technologies and principles on behalf of the CoE for Asset Management.
  • A background and solid understanding of Design and Construction processes, platforms and solutions is essential, some knowledge and exposure similar areas for Operation and Maintenance activities would be viewed positively.
  • Align Ferrovial asset management and digital twin frameworks with standards such as ISO55001, ISO8000, ISO 19650 as well as standards such as Industry Foundation Classes (IFCs)
  • To lead and/or support development and adoptions of data and information frameworks and asset management business development initiatives working with the wider Innovation team, corporate departments and with the Business Units
  • To support and develop a flexible and diverse internal and external team to optimize the use of emerging information standards driving use cases such as Extended reality, virtual reality, IoT, Simulation, BIM, 3D & 2D models, parametric and generative design, analytics and solutions integration to deliver value for a range of use cases across the whole life of an infrastructure lifecycle (Bid, Design, Construct, Operate and Maintain).
  • To engage with and evaluate the Global asset management and digital twin ecosystems (i.e. standardization bodies, startups, research centers, academia) aligned to Ferrovial corporate vision and strategy to identify and raise awareness of potential areas of interest
  • Contribute to the creation of asset management and digital twin insight deliverables (e.g. Ferrovial blogs, white papers, bid support collateral, scenario planning, internal and external presentations and project collateral)
  • Performs other duties as necessary
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):

Education & Experience:

  • University degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business Administration
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in innovation management, asset management or technical focused role in a corporate environment with a minimum of 2 years digital twin related experience with deep technical and/or business knowledge in one or more specific areas such as relevant ISO standards, lifecycle data management in infrastructure assets, reality capture or extended reality technologies.
  • A track record of proven program management capability in a complex and diverse environment with both agile and traditional delivery methodologies.
  • Specific lifecycle experience of Highways , airports, energy, rail, utilities or similar infrastructure industries.
  • Innovation and entrepreneurial mentality – with a pragmatic approach and ability to communicate at all levels within a global organization.
  • Program & Project management, technical/business analysis, and ability to work with highly technical teams distributed globally is essential.
  • Experience working with different types of organizations, including enterprise scale organizations, start-ups and JV structures, ability to establishing alliances and partnerships
  • Additional experience of business development and/or bidding processes desirable

Professional Qualities:

  • Experience working with C-level management both internally and externally
  • Keen interest in transport infrastructure, digital twins and simulation and relevant enabling technologies
  • Strong leadership skills and proven track record of collaborative working across teams
  • Strong track record of technical/innovation project development & delivery
  • Track record of identification and analysis of business opportunities
  • Experience with financial models, business plan development and financial management
  • Contract management experience (both drafting and negotiation)
