At MOVO we thrive to make cities better places to live by improving mobility for the people living in them, enabling a clean and convenient way to move around the city with shared electric vehicles. Founded in 2018, we are one of the most relevant Spanish micro-mobility services. We are the micro-mobility division within Cabify group, aiming to expand its vision to become a multi-mobility platform. Our HQ is in Madrid but you can find us also in Barcelona and soon in other Spanish (and abroad) cities. Our service currently includes kick scooters, electric motorcycles and soon eBikes in a pay per use model.

Our Product & Engineering teams are based in Madrid and have a strong Remote culture (On-Site Friendly). We count with an eclectic bunch of awesome people from different backgrounds, founders, entrepreneurs, managers, and engineers working with Swift, Kotlin, Ruby, Go, Elixir, Javascript and Python (so far) on high scalable, mission-critical distributed systems.

About the position 

How will you help us achieve our mission?

• Implement new mobile app use cases to make MOVO and Cabify the best mobility services.
• Tackle complex problems regarding asynchronicity, multiple data flows and other technical challenges.
• Deliver a world-class experience to our customers by making a robust, snappy and fun to use app.
• Work closely with several teams, such as Design, Research, Data Science, Product Management or Backend to improve our Rider app.
• Test app functionalities and troubleshooting.
• Constantly maintain our mobile apps and assist in deploying new features.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years as software engineer (at least 3 of them as iOS sw engineer)
• Experience interacting with REST APIs
• Ability to write unit and UI tests for your code
• Knowledge of multiple design patterns (eg Object Oriented Design)
• Deep understanding of different testing strategies on iOS.
• Experience with continuous integration, SPM and Xcodegen.
• Experience with RxSwift or any other Reactive technology is a plus.
• Ability to understand, diagnose, and effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.

• Ability to handle ambiguous problems and make the tradeoffs without compromising quality.
• Experience with distributed system communication, performance analysis, and optimization is a plus.
