Smartvel is a fast-growing European Travel Tech company that is leading the market in the Destination Content as a Service. We provide are a pure B2B SaaS, that provides different solutions to different needs of our customers regarding Destination Content.

Smartvel is looking for a Senior Backender/Full-stack to take care of our infrastructure. This position requires to work Saturdays and Sundays as it includes watch duties. Of course, you will be able to rest 2 days during the week or any other schedule that may suit you upon agreement.

YOU WILL WORK WITH:

• The backend stack is built with Python + Django REST Framework, Postgres and some microservices running in AWS Lambda. We run our infrastructure in AWS.
• You will use AWS services to monitor and take actions.
• Frontend is JS vanilla, freedom is key.

YOU’RE A GREAT CANDIDATE IF YOU:

• Are a team player.
• Have 5 or more years of experience in a high-demand environment.
• Write clean code and care about the overall quality.
• Design and implement scalable and high available APIs.
• Support other team members and share your knowledge and experience with the team.
• Are proactive upon difficulties or opportunities.
• Are able to communicate in English, although we work in Spanish.

AS SENIOR BACKENDER/FULLSTACK YOU SHOULD KNOW MOST OF THESE TECHNOLOGIES (OR EQUIVALENTS):

• Django, Django Rest Framework, Flask
• Javascript, Node, CSS
• nginx, gunicorn, upstart
• ElasticSearch, PostgreSQL, MongoDB
• Analytics frameworks
• AWS: EC2, Route53, IAM, S3, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch, Lambda, SQS, RDS
• Ansible, Vagrant
• CI/CD with Buildbot or similar
• Shell scripts (python, bash…)
• Linux knowledge
• Admin different environments in AWS
