The engineering team has a flat management structure. The teams are organized by products. Technical decisions are made as a team taking in the feedback and thought process of the engineers. Team members are free to move between different teams based on the feedback of their team members and status of their project.

We work from different locations across the globe in different time zones. We follow agile practices like sprint planning, daily standup and retrospectives through Slack and perform pair programming sessions and weekly engineering talks.

About the job

Our mobile has been busy building mobile applications tailored towards the way we operate and manage deliveries at Paack. You will be responsible to build new and improve the existing applications. The projects we foresee are integration with mobile printers, scanners, Instant apps, driver location tracking with beacons and battery management.

Main duties:

• Build and launch cutting edge features on a regular basis.
• Collaborate closely with other engineers.
• Build offline first applications that adapt to the user behaviour.
• Test hardware and software interface to ensure application stability.
• Write clear, maintainable code that will scale across several projects and distributed remote teams.
• Writing clean, testable, and efficient code that can scale across a large user base.
• Analyze and debug performance on the mobile device.
• Improve build pipeline and automate as much as possible.
• Triage and resolve bugs reported in Firebase.

Development Practices

We are strict believers in testing and building software based on solid principles. We automate everything from development, deployment and infrastructure. We also have an open communication channel with our users to understand their needs.

What are we looking for?

Essential:

• 1+ year experience in either Android or iOS development.
• Shipped at least one application to the Apple or Google Play Stores.
• Knowledge in programming languages in particular Kotlin or Swift.
• Application of clean architecture
• Used to write clean, readable codebase on best practices coding
• Knowledge experience working with offline applications.
• Communication skills. Not only go alone coding, used to work in a team, good vibes builder 😉

Desirable:

• Knowledge and experience working with GraphQL.
• Knowledge and experience working with external APIs.
• Knowledge of Test Driven Development.
• Experience in hardware integration like.
  IOT devices, health monitoring devices , beacons etc.
• Knowledge in device synchronization strategies.
