SATLANTIS is a Space Technology for Earth Observation & Universe Exploration Company; unique in the market for its specific characteristics of agility, spectral capture, and VHR resolution image quality. The Company headquarters are located in Bilbao, Spain (with new workspaces) within the University of the Basque Country Science Park, and SATLANTIS LLC is based within the Innovation Hub, at the University of Florida, Gainesville. They are a team of 60 high-tech professionals in full growth. And two months ago they launched our first satellite into orbit!
The satellite makes Earth observations by providing color images with great precision, for monitoring coasts, forests, etc. Next year they will launch a satellite for metal detection and dark matter detection.
It is looking for an Electronics Engineer profile for the design, development, integration, and tests of electronic mixed-signals subsystems and flight harnesses for Space applications.
The specific tasks will include:
- Design of electronics systems:
- Requirements analysis
- Components selection
- Electronics schematic design
- PCB Layout design
- Mechanics interface considerations
- Production files generation
- Development of prototypes:
- Hand and reflow oven soldering of SMD/THD components
- HW/SW test and report
- Laboratory test setup creation
- Flight harness manufacturing and electronics integration
- Troubleshooting with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment
- Technical documentation and test reporting.
Skills and experience:
- +2 years of experience as an electronic engineer.
- A deep passion for technology, and hardware development.
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience in electronics design with ECAD software.
- Experience in using soldering stations and laboratory instrumentations (Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, Multimeters, Power supplies…).
- Problem-solving approach.
- Team spirit, versatility, and creativity.
- English negotiation level
Preferred:
- Experience using Altium Designer ECAD software.
- Experience using/designing embedded systems with microcontrollers.
- Experience implementing software in C or C++ for embedded systems (MCUs).
- Experience implementing software for testing hardware setups.
- Experience using control version repositories (git).
- Basic knowledge of the use of electronics in Space.
- Experience using simple machining tools.
- Spanish negotiation level
