Your Role and Responsibilities

Security Architect with cross-competence security skills (IAM, IES, SIOC) since (s)he will lead transformation projects in the scope. This resource will work at IBM premises in Madrid but will usually travel to client premises across Spain. Spanish is required. Candidates needs in-depth of knowledge and experience in hybrid/multi cloud security, Security Intelligence and compliance solutions. Will use knowledge gained from previous roles, experiences and engagements, IBM’s intellectual capital, knowledge of the market/industry, and own research to address clients’ security challenges. Has understanding of how to engage clients in security discussions with “security as a business enabler” as a focus.

The architect will provide subject matter expertise through delivery of workshops, as a member of consulting engagements, as a leader on solution design and deployment projects. The architect should be well versed in solution design and have the ability to generate high quality artifacts such as requirements artifacts, high level and detailed designs and deployment plans.

• Design, build and implement security systems for a client environment
• Additionally proven ability to design and implement secure cloud architectures that meet client business requirements, whilst delivering value, and incorporate appropriate and sustainable security controls based on cloud native security services as well as traditional approaches.
• Align to widely accepted security standards and frameworks and security with overall business and technology strategy.
• Identify and communicate current and emerging security threats
• Adapt security architecture elements to mitigate threats as they emerge
• Create solutions that balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements
• Identify security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommend changes or enhancements
 

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

Deep experience in designing and implementing security architectures of which 1 years as Cloud Security Architect.
Experience with the design and build of two or more different security solutions (like Vulnerability Management, SIEM, Network Security, Endpoint Detection & Response)
Experience in systems integration and overall IT architecture
Expertise in creating technical documentation of Architecture, Design, Use cases and Test cases.
Ability to work in an international context and excellent communication skills
Interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and working relationships in a project-based / client-serving model, and to work closely with people at different levels of an organization

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

• Technical knowledge in three or more domains in cloud services context – Routing, Firewall policy, Anti-DDoS, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Security Information and Event Management, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Identity and authentication, virtualisation, DevSecOps, micro services architecture.
• An understanding of Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) into SaaS services and integration of CASB to SOC/SIEM services.

• Has experience creating cloud solutions in three or more Security Technologies including but not limited to Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Network Security, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection / Prevention.
