Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Backend Developer. The role will part of a growing and talented Group Digital Marketing Team, and will report directly into our Head of Web Development. This is a critical role that will establish the Cloud architecture for marketing and its coordination with local teams to guarantee the Marketing Group success. This role will also develop website’s backend to make them scalable, robust and can help other teams in their workflow by improving it. The role can be based in Madrid.

The role will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows. It is an exciting opportunity for a developer to grow in the way of Cloud developing and get a direct full input from marketing online specialist team that impact directly in the client acquisition of the entirely company.

The Junior Backend Developer will be part of the growing Group Marketing team in Spain. He/She will have a key role in backend development, creating new tools and making available to teams a solid foundation on which to add new functionality, improve workflow and share global content across the 16 countries that make up the company. He/She will transfer the best practices in web development to give the best service according to the needs of web conversion, optimizing the loading times and guaranteeing the correct entry of the sales opportunities.

He/She will also support the structure already created with environments based on both cloud and traditional architecture. Our development is almost entirely web-oriented so we are currently using PHP, although we are open to changes that add momentum to our acquisition websites. Innovation and experimentation are a critical part of the team and being on the edge of the technology is key to ensuring team and company success.

The projects will be developed together with specialists in Web Design, Developers, Analytics, CRO, SEA and other marketing roles. In this way, he/she will have at his/her fingertips new learning opportunities related to online marketing and make value proposals in these fields.

• Server-side Programming languages / Processes automation (PHP, Phython)
• Frameworks (Symfony, Django)
• SQL
• Object Oriented Design and Development experience
• CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Git)
• Cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Helm Charts, Terraform, Dockers)
• Collaborate with project and marketing acquisition team members to meet timelines and goals
• Fluent English and Spanish speaker
• Experience of working with diverse and remote teams

Skills/Knowledge Considered a Plus:

• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS, Bootstrap, cross-browser and device development
• Front-end development: Javascript and frameworks (jQuery, vue.js, Angular)
• Familiar with microservice architecture principle
• Integration technologies; such as REST and SOAP
