TheVentureCity is a venture capital fund and startup growth accelerator based in Miami and Madrid. Our mission is to help tech startups who are ready to expand internationally with growth capital and hands-on operational guidance. We are looking for a Product Data Analyst to join our team to perform investment due diligence; work with our portfolio companies; and build data and dashboarding infrastructure. From day to day, your tasks will vary. You will connect data sources to data warehouses; build ETL jobs; write scripts to wrangle, munge, and analyze data; perform exploratory analysis; build explanatory visuals and dashboards; present educational webinars to internal and external audiences; and collaborate with stakeholders, including startup founders. We are looking for someone who combines analytical skills with empathy and communication.

*This is the baseline set of skills the position requires:

• Python, particularly manipulating Pandas data frames
• SQL
• Tableau
• Business acumen
• Communication in the form of data visualizations, oral presentations, slide decks, and less formal 1:1 consultation
• Instrumentation of digital products to track marketing channels and product usage, preferably using Segment / Amplitude
• English required and Spanish preferred

• Statistics: descriptive, inferential, and Bayesian
• Advanced analytics, such as machine learning, clustering, and predictive modeling

*We’re looking for someone whose profile looks like the following:

• Undergraduate degree in data science, data analytics, statistics, information systems, or similar
• 5+ years of post-collegiate work experience in data analytics in a business environment, including the skills described above
• Portfolio of representative project work experience–including data visualizations–available to share, either via a link or in a Zoom conversation
• Physically located in Madrid, Spain (preferred) or available to work remotely on Continental European Time
• Authorized to work in the European Union
• Home office with adequate Internet bandwidth for Zoom meetings
