Mission
The Data scientist is responsible for analysing data and gathering insights around different business questions. Create machine learning models and products to optimize business processes and answer the needs.
Responsibilities:
- Participate / lead optimisation projects to improve Operational decisions for different countries
- Act as contact between these countries and the central Analytics team
- Discuss and identify potential for data-driven improvements
- Contribute in Analytical development projects run from the central team
- Formulates data requirements for analysing specific business questions and describes features for modeling
- Describes the model implementation in business processes and effect measurement
- Interprets and presents the results to both, technical and non-technical audience
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master´s Degree
- 3 years of relevant experience (with continuously expanding responsibilities)
- Experience with R, Python, or equivalent technologies to perform complex statistical analyses on both internal and external data.
- Deep understanding of statistical methods, linear algebra, probability
- Deep understanding of DBMS, linear algebra, probability and data structures and statistical methods
- Good understanding of bias and variance trade-off to avoid over/under fitting
- Understands models and their underlying assumptions in order to train, test and evaluate model performance
- Fluent in English
