What it’s like to work here

We have an office in Alcobendas, Madrid, Spain but we are remote-friendly, which means that we mostly work from home most of the time. We will give you the tools and resources that will help you to have a healthy environment, so you can focus on doing your work.

At Astara Labs we will be working with thousands of data points in real-time. This feature will make the project challenging in terms of designing, analysing, and structuring information to get valuable insights about mobility within the system. Thus, you will be taking part in a very inspiring project as you will be able to put your knowledge to test different approaches to get solutions and insights regarding the data. Also, visualizing that data will be key to showcasing and understanding visually how people move, as well as finding trends that will allow Astara Labs to forecast new behaviours and bottlenecks.

What skills do you need?

For this job, we are looking for a Senior Data Scientist.

A background in Mathematics or Physics will be highly valued.

Python and data science packages like Pandas, Numpy, Scikit-learn, etc. will be highly valued, but not mandatory. We understand that you could work with R and build a similar project or algorithm using Python if needed. Experience in GIS is necessary. 

We are expanding internationally, so a good English level is a must. Although, we can provide English lessons to improve your skills
