Your impact as a Data Engineer at Nationale-Nederlanden:
We are working hard to set up a professional analytics platform based primarily on the Azure stack. Naturally, this platform will support things like BI, AI, and Machine learning. Tools that you will use are, for example, Azure Data Factory, Data Bricks (Spark), Azure Purview, and Synapse If you have a passion for pioneering the latest technologies and making them available to the users of our data platform in a robust way, then you are the person we are looking for.
What you will be doing:
- You are proficient in the analysis, design, construction, and testing of pipelines and you consider requirements from performance, management, compliance, and security
- You actively seek collaboration with both users of the data platform and the parties that supply the data
- You find it challenging to continuously improve the data platform and you discuss this with fellow engineers and architects
- You discuss their wishes with the data users and jointly come to the best solution, whereby a good balance is made between the requirements of both IT and Business
- You automate all the boring and repetitive things so that there is more time for the things that matter
The Data Platform team has a permanent core of approximately 5 employees, which is currently being supplemented by employees who are deployed on a project basis. Your colleagues and stakeholder have the following roles: Data Architect, Data Scientist, Data Engineer, Product Owner...
What you need to bring:
- You have a passion for IT and Data.
- You have experience with Azure Data lake Storage, Azure Databricks Azure Synapse, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Data Factory.
- If you are a certified Azure Data engineer is a plus
