As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will partner with product and business teams and collaborate with Data Scientists and Engineers to make high impact decisions based on data.

You will analyze business needs and requirements and develop solutions that facilitates self-service analytics for several teams. Your work will influence the future of Wallapop in many ways, both in product and business.

You’ll be part of a growing Analytics team (8 people and counting) reporting to the BI manager

Requirements

The day to day involves

• Understand business questions and dynamics and translate them into analysis and opportunities
• Collaborate with product and business teams to define metrics and reporting requirements

• Design, build, and maintain our team’s data analytics environment to track key metrics and enable self-service data exploration, making data standardized and easily accessible
• Proactively provide hands-on analysis to highlight trends and discover insights on data
• Design, implement and maintain basic ETL processes for integrating the needed data sources
• Collaborate with stakeholders to collect feedback, educate on new data solutions and promote data culture within the company
• Build strong relationships with key business stakeholders

We are looking for someone with

• Experience in a similar role and/or a degree in a quantitative discipline (Engineering, Science, Economics, etc)
• High level of expertise with visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, Qlikview, etc
• High level of ability in SQL and data modeling, preferably AWS Redshift
• Experience in Python, both for analysis and basic ETL implementation

Nice to have skills/experience

• Experience with AWS Big Data stack (Redshift, S3, EMR, etc)
• Experience with data pipelines frameworks such as Luigi, Airflow, Pinball, etc
• Experience in working directly with multidisciplinary product squads
• Having worked for an online marketplace is a big plus

• Intro Call - ran by talent acquisition. It will take 30-45 minutes and will focus on giving you more information about the role and the company as well as going over your experience and expectations.
• Take-home test: you will be assigned a test that you should complete in 2h 46min is aimed at assessing your technical skills required for the role.
• Competency Interview - ran by talent acquisition and hiring manager. We will focus on gaining insights and understanding of how you operate in the workplace and your fit to our values. This usually takes 45 min to 1 hour.
• Practical interview - ran by the hiring team and relevant stakeholders across other functions. The focus will be on assessing your ability to apply your skillset to the wallapop context.
• Offer - should you be the right candidate, your offer will be discussed over a call with talent acquisition and will then be confirmed in writing.
